Coaching and teaching for 30+ years at Del Oro High School. Wyatt’s teams as a JV or Varsity head coach racked up 172 wins and 15 league titles. He also taught woodshop at Del Oro and enjoyed the creativeness that woodworking provided. His teaching and coaching skills helped provide a platform for Larry to connect with kids, community, family and friends. Larry was born and raised in Lincoln, CA and spent lot’s of his free time supporting the community with his wife Kris. Helping restore McBean park was a passion of theirs and with the new stadium and continued support, some of that passion has lived on. Larry was also a huge fan of the Potters Baseball Team, watching almost every home game over 2 seasons. After retiring from Del Oro High School, Larry continued to work in his shop at home, happy to take on all sort of projects.   About John Fletcher The traditions of Del Oro High School build on the teamwork of its, students, teachers, athletes, coaches and the Loomis community. In 2010 the Del Oro Hall of Fame was established to honor those who began the foundation of this legacy. Over the years, many individuals have been inducted representing each decade of the school’s history. Incoming freshmen are taught the importance of Black and Gold Pride and the impact these men and women have had on the school culture. In memory of Del Oro Football Coach John Fletcher, a portion of the funds raised from this year’s basketball tournament will support continuation of the Del Oro Hall of Fame.
