Tour de Brews: New Helvetia & Track 7

Join noted public health researcher and beer aficionado Peter Jacobsen for a ride to the New Helvetia and Track 7 brewing companies in Sacramento.

Meet the brewers and learn about the region’s growing craft beer movement. This is the second of three social rides to sample some of the region's best craft beers during May is Bike Month.

Meet us in Capitol Park, at 14th and N streets. We'll ride south on city streets through downtown and midtown, and cross under Highway 50 to New Helvetia Brewing, at 18th Street and Broadway. From there, we'll ride south through the Land Park neighborhood to Track 7 Brewing Company, at 3747 W Pacific Ave.

All are welcome. The pace will be casual (no more than 15 MPH) and the round-trip mileage (4 miles or so) will be quite comfortable. We'll be riding on and crossing busy streets -- please take the appropriate precautions to help you feel safe riding in traffic.

Plan on about 20 minutes’ riding between breweries and 30-45 minutes at each brewery. If there’s interest, we may also stop for a meal along the way.

The brewery tasting is no-host. Be prepared to show ID at the breweries.

Registration for this ride is free. Any donation you make to SABA will benefit our operations, campaigns and projects.
