      It's Bugged: Insects' Role in Design

      A vibrant art and design installation exploring the creative relationship between people and insects: on one side, how makers, designers, architects and artists draw upon nature’s patterns to create beautiful and useful materials and structures; and, on the other, the collaboration between insects and people in the production and refining of raw materials, say, silk and red dye from cochineals. Jan. 8-April 22, Regular hours: noon-4 p.m. weekdays and 2-4 p.m. Sunday. Opening reception: 6 p.m. Thursday (Jan. 11), featuring a talk by Professor Emerita Ann Savageau. See separate listing.
